Both Sides Now

Yeah, yeah - I'm technically on vacation and practically out the door. I could not leave, however, without offering something for you to think about. I encourage everyone to read the text of the letter from Iran's President Ahmadinejad to Bush. It points out questions Middle Easterners (among others around the world) have as to how we reconcile our walk with our talk.

Both leaders have something in common though they probably haven't thought about it. Depending on the circle, each is considered a crackpot and a war monger.

The letter was summarily dismissed by our Secretary of State because it did not specifically address the nuclear threat. Actually, if you read closely it does touch on it.

There are points worthy of explanation that could feasibly lead to a better understanding of what we are about. Fruition is questionable but I'd like to think this administration, who's leaders have never actually fought in a war, might put aside their apparent lust for it long enough to consider a dialog.

Just something to think about after you read it here.
