The Mouth That Roared

Speaking at the Conservative Political Action Conference Friday, Mitt Romney, Presidential candidate, had this to say about the speaker who was to follow him. " I am happy to hear that after you hear from me, you will hear from Ann Coulter. That is a good thing. Oh yeah!”

She followed with, “I was going to have a few comments on the other Democratic presidential candidate John Edwards, but it turns out you have to go into rehab if you use the word ‘faggot,’ so I — so kind of an impasse, can’t really talk about Edwards.”

The audience groaned and then - cheered.

Oh boy. The Republicans aren't off to a very good start here. There is the Giuliani character issue. I guess that may be why he's leading in the polls. McCain may just be too old to be sworn in at age 72 and Romney has flipped on more issues two years out than John Kerry ever did.

The Democratic front runners are at it too. The one with the most character flaws is still leading in the polls. Am I seeing a trend here? Second place Obama may be too young rather than too old. Who's in third? Some days it's Edwards, some days not, but for any of these right wing pundits to insinuate "faggot" is so far out of bounds they ought to be banned from the game. Ann Coulter, who has nothing to offer other than being outrageous, can lead the way. The Limbaughs and O'Reillys can follow on her heels. The sooner they discredit themselves the better. But how dare any one of them, and Ann Coulter in particular, smear a candidate such as John Edwards in this manner.

Ann Coulter is just the Anna Nicole Smith of the political arena.

I hide my head when these women who are intellegent enough to graduate from college and use their mouths for vagarity.

We have come a long way baby...yea, right

An old lawyer I once knew had a saying about people like Ann Coulter. If he were still alive today, he would call her one of the "maggots of society." And, he'd be right. But, just wait. What she said about John Edwards is nothing compared to what she and the other Republican "maggots" will say about Hillary.
