I like the fact that Barack Obama thinks candidate wives should not be the stuff of campaign smears. I like even better the fact that he has stated he'd never even think of making Cindy McCain as issue.
Unfortunately Cindy McCain does not share that opinion for she is after Michelle - again. One more comparison of the old politics and the tactics that come with it ad the new.
I had my say about Michelle's "patriotic" gaffe as soon as she made it. If you'd like to review it, feel free. If that's all they've got they might as well give it a rest. And don't even get me started on her wearing of sleeveless dresses as a sign of "power"! If my arms looked as good as hers I'd be sleeveless all summer at the very least!
Mrs. McCain seems to be getting a pass because she was "vetted" last go round. Well, people forget. And if one is to be dissed then so should the other. I know, her drug addiction for pain killers which caused her to steal from her own charity was explained away. Or maybe it died because John's campaign did too.
Now this recipe deal is something else again. It seems so ridiculous. Who thought it up? And why? Why would anyone "steal" recipes? Trying to make her seem folksy? Recipes like Ahi Tuna with Napa Cabbage Salad or Passion Fruit Mousse aren't recipes that would have been passed down from my dear old Mom. Her's were more like watermelon pickles or her special orange rolls! Nothing elitist, like Ahi Tuna! Ahem.
To those running the campaigns, let the ladies be who and what they are. That's what we want to know. Otherwise there will be people like me wondering why, after Cindy McCain blamed the first faux pas on an aide, has it happened again?

There is just something about Mrs. McCain, that I don't like. I don't know what it is... she was on THE VIEW a while back. She just seemed false, like what you are seeing, you are not getting.
While Mrs. O has a sense of humor, and isn't full of herself...
just my opinion..
