The Impossible Dream - Bravo!

Every once in awhile I stumble across something that fills me with such joy I just want to burst. Such was the case when I saw this clip about a contestant on Great Britain's equivalent to American Idol, Britain's Got Talent. Paul Potts. Remember his name. His praises are about to be sung!

The judges' faces say it all about this young man's talent. What a magnificent voice. And what a wonderful story. If you love opera, don't pass this by. Follow the link , play all the clips - and enjoy.

Britain's Got Talent certainly trumps American Idol! Seems a nice way to end the week.

I played this 3 times. Nessun Dorma gets me every time anyway. He is terrific and I have heard the best voices there are, singing this incredible piece of music. He needs a bit of work on breath control...but he brought tears to my eyes. Now, this is music and that is a voice. Bravo!!!

Brava, Wondering! I'm so glad someone is with me on this one! And to think he's basically self taught!

There was a bit of vibratto which can be cured with the aforementioned breath control techniques. But I sat here in front of my computer screen clapping with the audience. If he has had no training, then that voice is truly a gift from God.
