Time Out For Celebrating

No politics today; no snarls or bad humor. We're doing a little celebrating. September 12, 1969 Hub and I tied the knot. I was a half hour late to my own wedding because the driver got lost on the way to the church. Hub's Mom kept him and his best man from splitting for the track with the 25 caliber pistol she always carried. Montana gal who lived next to the prison you see. And the Saint Bernard puppy Mom and Dad were baby sitting for us ate half the household.

Thirty nine years. Not bad for a guy from Deer Lodge, Montana and a gal from Acme, Pennsylvania. Modest beginnings. Ups. Downs. And the most wonderful of rides.

To those who said it would never last - ha!

Anniversaries are a wonderful time for reflecting on all those shared memories. Congratulations!!

Do you wonder, like me, where the time went? We've been married 31 years and it seems like only yesterday!

GYMA, Ha! I remember it like yesterday but when I look in the mirror I'm too quickly reminded it was not!

Well, Happy Anniversary! I've been involved in a project all day and just now got a chance to come to your site! Sounds like it's been a great ride and I'm happy for you!

A big hug to both of you!

When I married in 1962 at 20, my husband was 30, I was sure we would never celebrate a Golden Wedding anniversary. Only 4 more years until that time, and I believe we're going to make it. 80 doesn't seem so old anymore.
